The album, which, I hope, opened a new chapter in the work of the project, and did not become the beginning of a farewell.

Why such doubts? Because “Mój kraj nazywa się Śmierć” is the most melancholic of all STWORZ albums, entirely dedicated to Death in its most subtle manifestations. Having surpassed himself again, Wojsław wrote seven poems and nine musical compositions, in which a disastrous beauty lies behind the usual eloquence and emotionality. Unlike “Wołosożary”, it is easier to spot. There is no such disparity between sound and message here. Wojsław finally moved away from his favorite scheme, giving the album a softer and more atmospheric sound with an abundance of semi-acoustic guitar parts, sometimes unobtrusively referring to post-something. Although the energy of STWORZ did not disappear, the album turned out to be rather contemplative, thoughtful. There is no concrete things on it - only thoughts, images and sorrowful romantic emotional impulses. During my studies as a philologist, I read a lot of all sorts of young poets who managed to write a bunch of dramatic verses, and then took their own lives. “Mój kraj nazywa się Śmierć” is something like that kind of poetry and music in one bottle. Though I am sure that Wojsław is not going to lay hands on himself, and this is good - we'll leave it to the characters from shitlist. The musician has a more worthy source of inspiration: Polish poet Jan Kochanowski, one of whose quatrains can be found right under the disc. I will not quote him - I will just say that these words perfectly summarize the essence of the album.

Curiously, the album is perceived as the most technically sophisticated of the entire STWORZ discography, although Wojsław for the first time in many years used only the basic arsenal. There is no ambient, no folk instruments, no female vocals. And maybe about 15 seconds of samples in total. All beauty is done with the help of guitars. And it turns the music upside down. What really matters here is not what is played, but how. If you don't listen attentively, recognizable STWORZ melodies will fly past your ears, but you just have to turn on your attention, and you will understand that they are created according to a completely new and very ingenious method. It turned out to be more interesting to disassemble musical constructions than one might have expected.

“Mój kraj nazywa się Śmierć” was published in the format of a standard jewel with a booklet practically devoid of any information. The design of purple silhouette patterns turned out to be extravagant, but, on the whole, it follows the general STWORZ line and the chosen concept. Details on a video. The lyrics, unfortunately, were not published - look for them at the band's Bandcamp. While I was getting this album, STWORZ has already released an interesting new release - a split with the well-known project SIVY YAR. I'll introduce it to you as soon as I get the disc.

Mój kraj nazywa się Śmierć by Stworz

[8

post-2220","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-arch","wpcat-8-id
["GET
