Obviously, at some point it seemed wrong to mr. Werewolf that SATANIC WARMASTER had become one of the most popular Black Metal bands in the world. And when the time came to turn to his roots, which sooner or later happens to every musician, he decided to do it quietly, in the old underground tradition. \"The Eye of Infernal Wisdom\", if I'm not mistaken, was not announced on the official channels of Werewolf Records and did not have any advertising campaign. The album was released independently (printed, most likely, by Northern Heritage). All the music was created and performed by Werewolf himself (with the exception of drums, played by Miko Aspa). The lyrics for the album were written by Hellwind Inference (SARGEIST, DESOLATE SHRINE, UNCREATION Dawn etc).<\/p>\n

\u201dThe Eye of Infernal Wisdom\" makes it clear immediately after the introduction that it is not intended for the mass listener. Harsh, cold, crunchy and necrotic sound instantly puts an insurmountable wall , shutting off all the damned poseurs. Against its background, the late works of SATANIC WARMASTER and even almost all the products of Werewolf Records sound plastic and unnatural. At first I wanted to compare the album with the early masterpieces of SW, but in fact there is not so much in common \u2013 individual riffs, designs of some tracks, and that's it. With each new listening, KNIFE begins to look more and more like a tribute to BBH bands. Of course, this is an independent Finnish Black Metal, but a strong influence is felt.<\/p>\n

The main thing here is that this Black Metal is true, with an infinite depth of blackness, a frozen hell and hate rituals under the full moon. It's impossible to convey in words how convincing it is, only the music itself can do this. Therefore, listen:<\/p>\n
