Mr. Werewolf has been behaving very strangely lately: now, he's an active participant of the degenerate cesspool known as Reddit, where where he brazenly declares that SATANIC WARMASTER and he himself have always been left-wing, and in general, he's doing tours in Latin America (although the concert in Mexico was recently canceled), so what other proof do you need? The most radical listeners have already managed to write him down as a traitor to the race, but I won't rush it yet; knowing Lauri's eccentric nature, all this can be a game that will end very interestingly. Or maybe not, the future will show.<\/p>\n

One way or another, SATANIC WARMASTER has released the first full-length album since 2014, and this, of course, is an event. Werewolf's old acquaintances helped to record \u201dAamongandr\": drummer of MOONSORROW, bassist of CADAVERIC INCUBATOR, guitarist of WHITE DEATH and another guitarist with the nickname Nattravn,who played on the previous album. As a result, everything turned out very similar to \u201dDevil Crisis \"of THE TRUE WEREWOLF (that was released 2 years earlier). It's not that unexpected; SATANIC WARMASTER has had a tendency to soften for a long time. And, probably, if TTW did not exist, \"Aamongandr\" would have left me with a better impression. But, as a reviewer, I can't help but look for parallels, and the comparison of the two above-mentioned albums turns out not in favor of the most recent.<\/p>\n

\"Aamongandr\" offers the same melodic Finnish Black Metal with more serious Satanic themes. All the tracks are hits, the dynamics and ambitions are very high, the level of compositions leaves all the previous work of SATANIC WARMASTER overboard - this is a real Premier League. The sound is also of a highest quality, but too soft, it does not hit the ears, but lies down into them. Unfortunately, the album lacks the abstract, and yet necessary component that we had in \u201cDevil Crisis\u201d \u2013 inspiration, a true passion. I won't say that \"Aamongandr\" is lifeless, but the sincerity of self-expression was clearly not in the first place here. This is simply very good music that will not ignite the hearts and will not affect the worldview of listeners, as it was with \u201cStrength & Honor\u201d or \u201cCarelian Satanist Madness\".<\/p>\n
