THURTHUL – Hate, Vengeance, Black Metal
Year: 2023
Label: Werewolf Promotion
Rating: 6 / 10
Traditional Eastern European metal of hate with a bias to the right wing. The participant of the depressive act NYCTOPHILIA is behind the project. The music sounds just about right, but there's nothing outstanding about it. I recommend it to fans of the late ABSURD, GOATMOON, CIRCLE OF DAWN and our Krywian ABWEHR.
AZATHOTH’S DREAM – Nocturnal Vampyric Bewitchment
Year: 2023
Label: Iron Bonehead Productions
Rating: 5,5 / 10
Another noisy "vampyric" record , which is distinguished from hundreds of others only by a more tragic feeling in the music. But you don't have to listen to it at all, and I don't understand why Iron Bonehead, who always strives to maintain a certain level of quality of its releases, decided to give it a chance.
BLACK SORCERY – Plummeting into the Hour of the Wolf
Year: 2024
Label: Eternal Death
Rating: 5,9 / 10
Ten years ago, when the phrase "US black metal" did not yet evoke associations with pederasty, it was associated more or less with what BLACK SORCERY is playing today (not to be confused with the vomiting THE BLACK SORCERY): raw in a bad sense, poor, beggarly dark metal with a handful of really good riffs. For some reason, musicians from the United States most often know how to play their instruments, but they do not know how to create a dark aura and attractive depth in their music at all. Where a European or South American band can create a masterpiece of cold musical landscape, playing sloppy as hell, our friends from the USA offer the stinky atmosphere of a cold toilet in a night subway, conveyed through technically decent music. Such is the paradox of ”Plummeting into The Hour Of The Wolf".
VÖMITT – Impale the Sultan
Year: 2024
Label: self-release
Rating: 7,7 / 10
On their second EP, these young Romanians blast some medieval motorpunk! 4 songs are dedicated to the Vikings and the fight against the Muslim hordes, but don't let that fool you - in their lyrics, armored bikers decapitate the enemies right from their saddles. How can anything be more metal than that? Centuries are passing, but values remain unchanged. Stake up the sultan's ass!
NUKE – Nuke
Year: 2016
Label: Hells Headbangers Records
Rating: 7,5 / 10
So that no one would be mistaken, this band called their first demo "Delta City“, and the debut album began with a sample which tells us about the scariest of drugs – ”nuke". If you don't know what all this means, go back to school. The NUKE band was founded by members of ACID WITCH and SHITFUCKER, and these are essentially the same rabid punks from the Robocop universe or, for example, Streets of Rage. And their music is suitable, although in form it is almost pure Speed Metal. Of the metalpunk releases of Hells Headbangers, "Nuke" turned out to be perhaps the best. If splatterpunks and Cain's followers listened to something like this before going out on the streets, I understand why old Detroit turned into a war zone.
