To understand what the Polish anonymous band WHITE WEREWOLF does, you do not need to have an academic degree. This is traditional radical white NS Metal, full of hatred for Abrahamic religions and degenerates. A set of ideas familiar from childhood, the one that fueled The Pagan Front and hundreds of independent acts for quite a long time. But, as usual, most of the talented bands either moved on to more refined topics, or even left the NS ideas in the past. There are very few truly talented musicians left. Frankly speaking, most of the self-proclaimed modern NS”BM" groups are total degenerates themselves, and differ from the dog vomit bands from RA"BM" camp only by the opposite ideology.
The best thing about WHITE WEREWOLF is that their album seems to have come from the turn of the centuries, when the world had not yet heard of TANK GENOCIDE or Bulgarian 88. “Si vis Pacem, Para Bellum” has a characteristic low-tonal sound in the vein of DARK FURY and THOR'S HAMMER; it suffocates you with black smoke of war. But at the same time, this sound is very natural and ancient, clearly inspired primarily by BURZUM, followed by SATANIC WARMASTER and, if you dig to the roots, LORD OF EVIL. It also means that there are songs here that are worth listening to. There are a couple of weak tracks, but they also have interesting segments. It is due to the music that WHITE WEREWOLF overtakes most of their scene mates. Among other things, there is something from Old Poland in it, and for me personally that musical period is more important than everything that happened before and after. Be sure to give it a try if you are interested in radical and militant hatefu metal.
