TYRANNO is not only an old-school Brazilian metal and appetizing hips of a charming bass player, but also a shameless admiration for the first CELTIC FROST records. hat dozen songs that happened between the death of HELLHAMMER and the transition of the freshly baked Thomas Fisher's group to the avant-garde plane, became the basis for TYRANNO. On "Skulls, Horns & Lust" you will find those very specific riffs and the manner of the vocals (with the obligatory "uh", "ayyy" and crazy laughs), the characteristic rhythmic pressure, the ringing guitar sound. It's a bit strange that the Brazilians did not record a cover of CELTIC FROST for their album, but it probably would have sounded indistinguishable from all the other songs.
Lovers of identity can already begin to whine about mindless cloning of the classics, but, frankly speaking, the music that is so close to the original spirit of CELTIC FROST does not come to me very often. Of course, every first old Death or Black Metal band has something from CF, but TYRANNO's concentration of celticfrostness is much higher. They are even closer to the CELTIC FROST than the Germans WARHAMMER to HELLHAMMER. And I like it because, with all my immense respect for the avant-garde creativity of the CF, I believe that it has not been said enough in "Morbid Tales / Emperor's Return" style of music. If TYRANNO does not close this question, they make a very serious contribution to it!
