I remind you that PAMORAK is the second band of NIAISNY members, in which, as one of them admitted in a private conversation, they tried to cook something in the style of the old DEATHSPELL OMEGA. As with the first NIAISNY demo inspired by the Blaze Birth Hall releases, almost nothing worked out in this regard. The only release really similar to DEATHSPELL OMEGA was recorded by the third band of NIAISNY members, the oldest of the three, but I won't talk about it right now.
One way or another, it's really not that bad. It's worth following in the footsteps of other bands when things are a bit difficult with your own style, but our anonymous heroes don't have this problem. The characteristic painful melodiousness of guitars is recognized immediately after a very cinematic introductory track that consists of foggy ambient, acoustic guitar and düdük (I asked specifically!). PAMORAK differs from NIAISNY mostly by its aggression and pressure: instead of saturated riffs and audiable bass, there are frenzied tremolos and blast beats. In a generalized Black Metal sound, it would really resemble the old DEATHSPELL OMEGA or some other classical band, but the distinctive Krywian spirituality gives the music a completely different character, more dreamy and emotional. Even if PAMORAK was strictly about Satan worship (and this, despite the lack of lyrics on the inlay, is obviously not the case), this music wouldn't inspire you to shit and cum in the name of a Goat. It is characterized, I'm not afraid of these words, by intellectual epicness. Although this is a 20-minute demo, there is something to listen to and think about.
The release had a small print run of cassettes with a very simple inlay. The cover was made by Zabrava, the Belgian bassist of all the bands of the Ancient Hounds Circle (CRYPTS OF WALLACHIA, ORKBLUT, etc.). The print run has already been sold out on Medieval Prophecy, but something can still be found at various European distros.
