My fellow reviewers in recent months have been listening to the new album of Finnish BONEHUNTER, but for now, I only get to know the debut, released 3 years ago. Primal black thrash multiplied by hellishly hot love for horror punk - that's what “Evil Triumphs Again” is. The mixture of ingredients is very correct; punk is expressed mainly in the form of characteristic melodic solos, which only make music richer. Well, also in is expressed in a rabid headbanging flippancy, but this is a common feature of all the styles that mixed here. Compositional ideas of the Finninsh devil metal punks do not go beyond one or two cool riffs (+solo) per song, but this is exactly how it needs to be done. Not all songs are equally good - I heard better stuff in my life. However, there is not a single frankly weak song on the album. From the beginning to the end, it goes in the initially chosen direction, cheerfully and confidently. In general, the band did everything right, and it needs just a little bit more of talent for compositing to reach the top. But in front of me there are two more albums of these guys, and apparently, BONEHUNTER took into account all their shortcomings on these records.
